Legal Advice & Copyright

Last updated: April 2026

This document formally outlines corporate identification, intellectual property claims, and strictly defines the liability boundaries regarding the usage of the Ethos application.

1. Copyright and Intellectual Property

The system architecture, interface design, visual elements, graphics, domain names, and underlying codebase (collectively, the "System Architecture") of the Ethos application are the exclusive intellectual property of Ethos and its engineering operators. Reselling, cloning, or distributing our visual system, code, or marketing copy without express authorization is prohibited and protected by international copyright laws.

2. Total Exemption of Clinical Liability

Ethos provides software tools for organization, reflection, and habit tracking. These tools are strictly technological correctly-operating mechanisms. We provide no medical, psychological, psychiatric, or clinical interpretations of your records. Any analyses generated via our optional AI models should not be construed as professional medical advice. We bare no liability for actions taken based upon insights generated by the system.

3. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms, and the operations of the application, are governed by the laws universally applicable to consumer software operations. We operate in standard compliance with international data protection regulations, ensuring GDPR principles (data minimization, right to access, right to deletion) are built into the architecture directly.

4. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any operational conflict, dispute, or claim arising out of your use of the software, you agree to attempt out-of-court settlement and mediation before initiating any formal legal proceedings. Continued use implies consent to these resolution steps.

5. Contact and Operational Inquiries

For official legal notices, requests for data exportation under GDPR/CCPA, or inquiries regarding intellectual property rights, please direct your communication to our formal operational channels at [email protected]. We will respond within the standard legally mandated timeframes.
