User Data Deletion
Last updated: May 2026
You can request deletion of your Ethos account and associated user data at any time. This page is public so Ethos users and Meta app reviewers can find deletion instructions without signing in.
1. Delete from Ethos
If you can sign in, open Ethos and use the account deletion control in your account settings. When deletion is confirmed, Ethos removes your account records, journal and workspace data, AI data, OAuth connections, WhatsApp links, files, and related service metadata from primary systems.
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Ethos account" and include the email address or phone number tied to your account. We will verify account ownership before processing the deletion request.
3. Timing and limited retention
Deletion is irreversible once completed. Backups, billing records, fraud-prevention records, and security logs may retain limited information for legal, accounting, or security purposes for the minimum period required, then they are purged according to our retention process.
4. Third-party connections
Deleting your Ethos account removes stored OAuth tokens and disconnects WhatsApp, Google, and other integrations from Ethos. You may also remove Ethos directly from your Meta, Facebook, Google, or other provider account settings.
